Microblading

Microblading is a revolutionary new method of recreating the appearance of natural eyebrows by carefully applying pigment underneath the skin in the brow area.

At your microblading appointment, your esthetician will help you select a pigmentation color that complements both your skin tone and your natural hair color, as well as matches your existing eyebrow hair to blend seamlessly and look natural. Next, your esthetician will analyze your facial structure and work closely with you to design eyebrows with the shape and size to enhance your natural contours. Once the color and design are finalized, your technician will utilize a very fine blade to gently and precisely deliver the pigmentation into the very top layer of skin, using a smooth, detailed feathering stroke which can actually re-create the appearance of naturally-growing hair. The precise application of the pigment to just the very top-most layer of skin prevents the pigment from “spilling” underneath the skin and the crisp, very fine blade strokes remove the risk of a blocky, artificial look. The result is fuller, natural-looking, and gorgeous eyebrows that accentuate your facial contours!

What to Expect During Your Microblading Treatment

Microblading is the perfect beauty procedure for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked or waxed eyebrows. If your brows are already full and bold and you would like to just add a slight arch, this is also the procedure for you! The results are a natural, undetectable fringe.

During the microblading process, we use a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one. This meticulous process will take around 2 hours, as the first 45 minutes are spent drawing the customized shape, thickness, and arch with a removable brow pencil for your approval prior to the procedure.

The best part about this technique is that there is no down time. Your new set of brows will be ready for a selfie immediately after the process. Since the healing process is different for everyone, some brows might fade a little more than others and some not at all. Brows typically take two weeks to fully heal and may appear darker for a few days before lightening into the desired color. We often recommend a follow-up after 6 weeks should any touch-ups need to be made. Please note that follow-ups are an additional cost and not included with the initial prodedure. Between the initial treatment and the recommended follow-up, you may experience peeling (typically noticeable only up close) and fading of the brow. This is natural and part of the treatment process. Microblading is very low maintenance, and after healing, no special care is required!

Are touchups necessary?

The first microblading appointment is about structure, design, and building hairstrokes. The touch-up is utilized to see how the skin heals and retains pigment, as well as making any necessary adjustments to achieve better symmetry, definition, or volume.

Most clients require a touch-up appointment within 6 weeks to no later than 8 weeks of the initial proceodure to fill in any areas of the skin that may not have fully retained the pigment  this is completely normal and to be expected. The touch-up takes approximately 1-2 hours and is not included in the price of your initial procedure.

Some may even require a 3rd session to complete the process— especially if you have little to no hair to begin with, have scar tissue, oily skin, or are trying to cover up an old tattoo.
